Brian Muirhead is a leader in the field of deep space exploration. Currently, he is Chief Architect for the Mars Sample Return campaign, Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s effort to study and develop the key technologies needed to return samples from the surface of Mars, a goal never before attempted. He is an award-winning leadership innovator with deep experience leading high-performance teams. He led the team at the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory that built the Mars Pathfinder that landed on the red planet to worldwide acclaim on July 4, 1997. Brian has delivered front page results while solving problems that seemed impossible. A recipient of two of NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medals, Brian was the Chief Architect of NASA’s Constellation project, a program with the objective of establishing a permanent base on the moon and preparing for human exploration of Mars. He was Chief Engineer of the Mars Science Laboratory during the invention of the Sky Crane, which was used to land the rover ‘Curiosity’ on Mars and he was Chief Engineer of JPL. Brian is the author of two books, Going to Mars and the highly-praised High Velocity Leadership.

Nancy King is Senior Vice President of Product Engineering at Target, where she drives the overall technology vision, strategy, and talent development for product engineering. Nancy and her team help bring Target’s purpose to life through the building of world-class technologies and software capabilities across digital, merchandising and marketing, and stores and supply chain. Nancy has been with Target for 16+ years and played a leading role through the retailer’s technology transformation and growth. She’s long been a champion for diversity and inclusivity in tech at Target and the local community. Nancy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and 20+ years of hands-on IT leadership experience in Fortune 100 organizations. She has a passion for enabling retail strategies through technologies and has been with Target since 2004. Cory has over 19 years of experience in retail where he has worked in various roles from stocking shelves to application design. Over the past six years he has been focused on mobile application design for enterprise users. He is passionate about working collaboratively with users to enable them to do their best work.

Ashley Carrillo first joined Target as an intern in the summer of 2018 where she made the decision to join the Technology Leadership Program, part of Target tech's Early Tech Talent development program. Most of her career has been working on building scalable and cacheable APIs. She's passionate about onboarding new engineers to Target and solving complex guest facing problems. She currently resides in Minneapolis, MN with her partner Keenan and adorable golden retriever puppy, Luka.

Tom is a Principal Engineer at Target enabling frontend clients to help Target guests through the use of APIs. He was previously an independent consultant working with various clients to build simple robust scalable APIs. Tom brings over 15 years experience in this space ranging from RPC, SOAP all the way to REST and GraphQL APIs.

Luci has worked for Target for 11 years and has been working on myDay for the last 3 years. She is the lead product owner for a team of developers that support Sales Floor operations. She has a passion for UX and building reusable solutions, but most importantly making sure our team is excited about what they do. They practice agile development as we build simple, consistent, and intuitive user experiences for our end users so they can provide a great service for our guests.
